In a video circulating on social media, the actress expressed frustration over the frequent power outages, saying electricity is often restored for only a few minutes before going off again.
She also challenged the minister's reported claim that some Nigerians had contacted him in September, asking him to reduce electricity supply because their freezers were freezing their contents.
Demanding the identities of those who allegedly made the complaints, Henshaw questioned why Nigerians were still struggling with unreliable electricity in 2026 despite the huge investments in the power sector.
She lamented that many households had been forced to rely on generators, inverters and solar systems, while others were exploring alternative ways of generating electricity because of the unreliable national grid.
The actress also questioned the continued collection of electricity bills by distribution companies despite the poor services rendered to consumers.
While acknowledging that the current minister had not increased electricity tariffs, Henshaw maintained that Nigerians were still being shortchanged because they were not receiving adequate power supply.
She further criticised the previous minister over repeated electricity tariff increases, insisting that Nigerians deserved reliable electricity rather than explanations for persistent outages.
Expressing her anger, the actress said Nigerians should not still be battling basic electricity challenges in 2026, adding that God would judge those responsible for the situation.
“God will judge all of you. God will judge you people,” she said.
